Jonathan Wert has over 20 years of management consulting experience providing services to a wide range of businesses, consulting firms, regulatory agencies, electric utilities, and nuclear plants. He has diagnosed the strengths and weaknesses of over 35 client firms and helped many of them develop, implement and evaluate performance improvement plans to improve their effectiveness, efficiency, competitiveness, and profitability. Dr. Wert has experience in evaluating the effectiveness of most functional areas of a company including: management and organization, organizational culture and climate, organization development, human resource development, and planning and communication in relation to operations, engineering, maintenance, quality assurance, environmental and regulatory compliance, and safety.

For ten years, he has served as a team leader or member conducting management audits to diagnose problems, develop or evaluate performance improvement programs and plans, and making recommendations to improve the operation of nuclear plants. These plants have included: Calvert Cliffs, Maine Yankee, Point Beach, Susquehanna, and Sequoia. Dr. Wert has assessed the performance of many firms from the Board down through first line supervision. In addition to assisting senior management improve operations and performance, he also served on vertical slice diagnostic teams assembled by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) to diagnose the problems of six troubled nuclear plants including: Fermi, Perry, Brunswick, Palo Verde, FitzPatrick, and Clinton.

Dr. Wert served as one of five consultants who conducted a prudence review of the South Texas Nuclear Project for a law firm representing the Texas Public Service Commission. This work product, along with reports of others, led to a 160 million dollar settlement from plant owners to the Texas Public Service Commission and ratepayers. He also served as a consultant to perform a focused management audit of Northeast Utilities with emphasis on the Millstone Nuclear Station for the Connecticut Department of Public Utility Control (DPUC). Through the United States Energy Association (USEA) and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Dr. Wert has consulted for the energy industry in Central and Eastern Europe, Russia, and the New Independent States. He assisted foreign utility leaders in privatizing, transferring technologies from U.S. utilities, and upgrading operations and regulatory processes.

Dr. Wert received both his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees from Austin Peay State University in Tennessee. He completed his doctorate degree at The University of Alabama. Dr. Wert is licensed as a Registered
Professional Environmentalist (RPE) by the State of Tennessee, Registered Organization Development Consultant (RODC), Professional Management Consultant (PMC) by The Consultants Bureau, and Certified Management Consultant (CMC) by the Institute of Management Consultants.
